TOS notes... The Notes system is being designed and tested on an Atari ST running under TOS 1.4 (Rainbow Tos). We do not plan, or have any way, of testing or supporting the program under the older versions of TOS. The only operating system version supported is TOS 1.4 in rom. If you do not have the TOS 1.4 roms, the upgrade has recently been made available, see your dealer. The 1.4 upgrade is a signifigant improvement in both speed and the number of bugs. I highly reccommend it. Subjects Help TOS 1.2 (Mega TOS) note. If you are running a ST system under TOS 1.2, you will find that Notes has some problems in the desk accessory mode. I do not reccommend that you use notes as a DA under TOS 1.2. Notes does seem to run ok as a PRG file. TOS 1.0, ram based 1.4.... Notes seems to be quite stable under 1.0 and the ram based 1.4. I still reccommend the upgrade to the rom version of 1.4 though. It is not known whether or not Notes will run on any of the earlier ram based versions of the operating system. If you attempt this you are on your own. No effort is being made to ensure that any version prior to TOS 1.4 is compatable with the Notes system.
